NAPIC welcomes all individuals and institutions committed to its mission, goals and priorities.

Types of Membership

Membership to join is available in the following categories: Institutional or Individual Memberships.

Membership Services and Benefits

NAPIC strives to offer our members a valuable experience through our membership services and benefits, including:

* National networking & leadership development opportunities with Asian Pacific Islander administrators in two-year Community & Technical Colleges.

* Invitation to attend the annual member meeting at the AACC convention to discuss issues and topics related to Asian Pacific Islander educational advancement.

* Access to a future national database exclusively for members.

* Awareness & advocacy of Asian Pacific Islander issues in education.

Institutional Membership (Voting Member)


Institutional membership is available to an accredited community college, a similar collegiate institution of higher learning or a non-profit organization whose mission and goals include supporting Asian Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander and Desi Americans in community colleges. An institution can share NAPIC updates and current information with its institutional community and share information from that Institution to other NAPIC members as a paid member. However, each institution shall be entitled to one vote during the NAPIC Yearly Open Business Meeting.

With a letter of invitation an invoice will be sent to the Institutional CEO, President or designee at the beginning of the school year. Once the membership transaction is completed, the Institution will be designated as a Voting Member. Contact Naomi O. Story, Ph.D., NAPIC Executive Director for more information.

Individual Membership (Voting Member)

Individual membership is available to a currently employed or retired ndividual from an an accredited community college, a similar collegiate institution of higher learning or a non-profit organization whose mission and goals include supporting or advocating for Asian Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander and Desi Americans in community colleges. Current and regular NAPIC updates and information can only be used by the individual and not shared unless specified otherwise. Each individual shall be entitled to one membership, one vote during the NAPIC Yearly Open Business Meeting.

With a letter of invitation an invoice will be sent to an Individual at the beginning of the school year. Once the membership transaction is completed, the Individual will be designated as a Voting Member. Contact Naomi O. Story, Ph.D., NAPIC Executive Director for more information.

NAPIC Board Membership Fee
NAPIC Board Members, who are paid members and are elected to oversee and to guide NAPIC’s mission and priorities throughout the year. Board members are also expected to pay a membership fee as set by NAPIC’s Bylaws based on their positions. Each board member will receive an email reminder at the beginning of the school year of this obligation.

Membership Amounts

Institutional Membership: $500 a year
Individual Membership: $50 a year

Board Member Fee:
Option 1 - CEO/President/Chancellor : $150 a year
Option 2 – Non-CEO/ President/Chancellor/Faculty: $50 a year

Payment Processes

Institutional, Individual and Board members can pay their dues by check or electronically.

NAPIC Board Members are elected to oversee and to guide its mission and priorities. Board Members are also expected to pay a membership fee that can be paid and processed electronically. There are two fee options based on the Board Member’s position. One option is for those who are CEOs or Presidents and the other option is for Board members who hold Vice President, Faculty or staff positions in their organizations.
